Daginn daginn.... Datt í hug að setja hérna inn smá upplýsingar um Prednison sterana, þ.e. það sem fylgt getur því að minnka steraskammtinn... bara svona af tilefni af því að ég er komin í þessi 10mg sem er sögulega lægst skammtur sem ég hef komist á síðan í maí sl. This can worsen feelings of fatigue. Nausea is also common. If the nausea is very bad, it may result in fainting. So do not be surprised if you loose some weight rather rapidly after ending your prednisone treatment.

Please note that the longer you are on prednisone, the worse you can expect the prednisone withdrawal symptoms to be should you cease taking the medication suddenly. For this reason, doctors generally only prescribe prednisone for short periods of time unless absolutely necessary.

Generally prednisone is prescribed for immune disorders, serious allergic reactions, or severe inflammation. If you stop the medication too quickly, the disease will likely recur. This is because the body is still depending on the medication to keep the condition at bay. This also makes it vital to come off of the medication gradually, so that your body has time to adjust and fight your health problem without the prednisone.

For these and other reasons it is vital that prednisone be taken as prescribed. This includes the length of time that medication should be taken, the dosage to be used, and the regimin for coming off of the drug. When used properly, prednisone can help with may serious conditions, and the majority of the prednisone withdrawal symptoms can be avoided.

Já ýmsar aukaverkanir. Ég finn fyrir einhverju af þessu... svosem ekki alvarlega og í raun ekkert meira heldur en verið hefur. En samt gæti þessi pistill verið um mig!!!! 

Nú annað sem er að gerast þessa dagana er helst að það eru búin að vera afmæli alveg bak og fyrir.. kökuát og heitir réttir. Náttúrulega dásamlegt og sparar uppvask heima hjá mér. En afmælisbörnin hafa verið Ellý Rut, Ragga, Saga Ísey og Sveinn Atli. Svo hélt Valgeir upp á sitt afmæli (eða svoleiðis). Það stóð alltaf til að hafa gistipartý fyrir nokkra úr bekknum þegar hann átti afmæli í nóvember og nú var kominn nóvember- hóst. En gistipartýið var um helgina og var bara gaman hjá strákunum. :-) 

Ég reikna með að fara í blóðprufu á morgun eða á fimmtudaginn... þá set ég inn hérna töluna sem kemur úr hemóglóbínmælingunni. En ég hef ekkert heyrt frá Þorvarði Löve um neitt í sambandi við blóðprufurnar sem voru teknar hjá honum. Enda held ég að það sé ekkert sem finnst´i þessum blóðprufum. En ég er forvitin að vita hvort blóðið haldist á þessum steraskammti eða hvort ég er á niðurleið aftur. Ég vona allavega að ég þurfi aldrei að vera á hærri steraskammti aftur í lífinu. Helvítis ógeð... En fólk í fésbókargrúbbunni talar um að Cellcept sé að virka ágætlega - sumir tala um Rituximab (eða Mabthera) sem ég fékk í haust og eitthvað eitt enn sem ég man ekki hvað heitir. Og svo auðvitað miltisnámið... en það er samt með þetta allt að það er eins og þetta sé svo einstaklingsbundið. Eitt virkar hjá sumum en ekki öðrum. Það er líklega það sem gerir þetta svo erfitt viðureignar.
